About

CUFAS is for anyone who wants to learn and practice first aid skills, whilst meeting new people through regular training and social events!

Cambridge Universities First Aid Society (CUFAS) welcomes any undergraduates and postgraduates from University of Cambridge or Anglia Ruskin who are interested in first aid and voluntary work. Our weekly sessions (usually held on a Tuesday night) comprise of first aid talks given by a variety of speakers and putting newly learnt skills to the test through role playing first aid scenarios. As a society we also function as the Cambridge Universities St John Ambulance student unit for Cambridge. We direct CUFAS members to SJA Training Courses so that members can become qualified first aiders and join the unit. Once qualified SJA first aiders can go out on duties to lots of exciting events: May Balls, the London Marathon and New Year's Eve celebrations in London to name a few. Our society is open to new members all year round and we run a variety of social events alongside our training sessions. So join CUFAS get involved in SJA, meet new people and learn a life-saving skill!
