Cost of Living
Tackling the Cost of Living Crisis is a priority for the SU this year. Check back soon for the launch of this campaign.
Fair Pay for Workers
As well as representing students, it’s important that we support the campaigning of the low-paid workers in our University and Colleges. We work with Living Wage Campaign as well as other campaigns for staff pay.
Intermission & Fitness to Study
A key priority for us this year is to reform the systems of ‘Intermission’ and ‘Fitness to Study’. Intermission is the process of taking a break from your studies for any serious reason. Fitness to study is a longer process that has different stages, the final one being a panel consisting of academic staff who can decide whether a student should be required to suspend their studies.
Reading Week
Cambridge education can work better for everyone; the quality and rigour of undergraduate courses should not rely on squeezing as much work as possible into such a short space of time. We believe the best solution to these problems is to introduce a Reading Week in the middle of term.
We're doing our part to make sure Cambridge students are registered to vote. It only takes five minutes to make sure you have your voice heard.
