CUSSC represents the competitive side of snowsports at Cambridge. The focus of our year revolves around the Varsity Races, held each year on the Varsity Trip during the Christmas Holidays. The club fields three men's teams and three women's teams against Oxford, where we race in Slalom and Giant Slalom. These are the longest running team ski races in the world, with the first event held in 1922 - older than the Winter Olympics! We have a lively freestyle and snowboarding contingent, which is beginner friendly, with sessions to Milton Keynes during term time. We have S&C (strength and conditioning) sessions at the Sports Centre throughout the academic year. There is additional opportunity to compete in BUCS and BUiSC.
