Beyond Equality (previously the Good Lad Initiative)is a nation-wide charity aiming to tackle lad culture and work towards gender equality, inclusive communities and healthier relationships.
We hold workshops with a range of sports teams, societies and J/MCRs across Cambridge, starting conversations around topics such as mental health, consent, allyship, masculinity and sexual harassment. We believe Cambridge, and our society as a whole, has a long way to go in its efforts towards gender equality and positive masculinity. These workshops are a great opportunity for societies to be pragmatic in addressing these issues openly by engaging in meaningful conversation as a group committed to creating more equal gender relations.
