The Cambridge University Investment Research Society was started in 2017 to help Cambridge students develop their understanding of finance and explore careers in the industry.

Education is at the heart of what we do.

We equip students with the necessary tools to understand finance via lectures, fireside chats with industry veterans, our analyst programme and resources sent to our mailing list.

We adopt a Cantab approach to our Research.

We prioritize independent learning, critical thinking and fundamental, bottom-up research to develop a differentiated view on publicly traded securities. Our analysts work in sector teams led by experienced Portfolio Managers to produce research reports. Our best ideas are then presented to industry veterans for feedback and constructive criticism. Find our research here.

We offer a unique platform to grow.

In order to democratize access to information, we have made membership to our society free for all Cambridge students. We provide students a unique opportunity to develop and demonstrate their financial thinking and offer firms access to the best and brightest investing minds at Cambridge. Our team members in the 2019-2020 season went on to secure internship and full-time offers from some of the leading investment banks and asset managers.

We are passionate about giving back.

We are proud to partner with charities such as the Sutton Trust and Girls Are Investors (GAIN). We firmly believe in diversity and try our best to promote it. In the past, we have organised charity fundraisers and exclusive events for our partners. If you are interested in working with us, let us know.
