Cambridge's MEDLIFE Chapter

MEDLIFE Cambridge is one of the many student-run chapters that represent MEDLIFE and seek to promote their activities at the University and in the local community. In particular, as the impacts of COVID will result in severe long term repercussions in these communities (especially in the badly hit South America), we hope to hold multiple fundraising events, educational talks as well as increase our engagement with local volunteering opportunities.

MEDLIFE is an international non-profit organisation that works alongside low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to adequate healthcare, education and development through social justice work that prioritises listening, collaboration and sustainability. (MEDLIFE engages students and volunteers to become advocates for positive change through campus societies, volunteering in SLTs (service learning trips) and fundraising. This in turn allows MEDLIFE to hire and train local staff to provide quality patient care and run community development projects and workshops to empower communities in need.)
