A newly founded society that focuses on hosting a One Young World Caucus, acting as a think-tank and accelerator hub for young change-makers within Cambridge to have real-life, positive social impact.
One Young World (OYW) is a UK-based not-for-profit organization that gathers young leaders (up to 13,500+ ambassadors worldwide) for their annual Summit to develop solutions to the globe’s most pressing issues.
The Caucus at Cambridge will be a full-day event, welcoming a variety of participants, including students, academics and business leaders. The event will focus on a set of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals chosen by the Caucus committee and students within the University.
The programme will consist of Keynote Speeches, Panel Discussions, and Interactive Workshops where participants are given the chance to listen to, debate and interact with experienced local leaders, senior members of the university and change-makers.
We aim to establish a strong One Young World community with change-makers across the University, providing students with an engaging platform to collaborate and take meaningful actions to solve challenges we face in the community, and around the world. These actions may include, but are not limited to: research, volunteer projects, entrepreneurial initiatives and campaigns.
Post-Caucus, the OYW Cambridge Caucus team will serve as a think-tank or accelerator hub for young change-makers within Cambridge to have real-life, positive social impact.
