About

Cambridge University Freedom from Torture is a student led campaign, and part of the nationwide movement to stand with survivors of torture, to provide therapy and support, and fight for change. We aim to challenge our leaders and governments when they turn a blind eye to torture and what it does to people. We campaign for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture, and are trying to rebuild their lives in the UK.  Throughout term you can get involved with Freedom from Torture in various ways, whether this be by getting involved with fundraising, attending our workshops and speaker events, or even joining protests and writing letters to your local MP. Our membership is free and we encourage you to sign up to our mailing list and come along to our events!
