We are a recorder ensemble for players of all levels playing music of all genres! We hold weekly rehearsals and a termly concert – join us for good music and a good time!

So, you're at Cambridge University, and play the recorder in a serious manner (most of the time). This group is here so we all get to know each other, play some music and generally have a good time! There is no official minimum standard. We play music of all styles and encourage members to contribute their own smaller pieces to our concerts as well as larger ensemble playing. Feel free to bring your own repertoire suggestions. We also have two society bass recorders, a contrabass, a great bass, and two tenor recorders which any member can use. There is at least one recital a term, with rehearsals usually on Tuesday evenings 7.30-9pm. For more information email recorders@cusu.cam.ac.uk. We recognise that the ensemble might run slightly differently this year if pandemic restrictions return, but we still hope to hold events responsibly, as outligned on our pandemic plan.

And if you're interested in either joining the ensemble or attending our concerts, please sign up to the society or the audience mailing list here!
