About

The CU Real Ale Society exists to promote the appreciation of real ale and cider through pub meet-ups, brewery tours, tasting events, beer and food pairing events, beer festival visits, etc.

We're devoted to the appreciation of, and education about, real ale. Specifically, what it tastes like, how it's made, where you can find it and what it goes well with. This includes: pub meets, brewery trips, beer tastings, beer and food tastings, beer festivals and any other beer-related activities that function to promote real ale. Membership of this society, a Cambridge institution, also gets you free entry and queue jump to the Beer Festivals held by the local Cambridge branch of CAMRA, discounts to some of our events and discounts on real ale in some of the local pubs! CURAS promotes responsible drinking at all times, and exists solely for the appreciation of real ale. When you drive, never drink alcohol.
