The Cambridge Marxist Society exists both to discuss Marxist ideas, and to put theory to action. Come along to our weekly meetings and get involved!
“Without revolutionary theory, there can be no revolutionary movement” - V. I. Lenin
Cambridge Marxist Society is a group of young communists organising for international revolution around the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky. We have regular meetings (currently online!), led by our members, on a variety of topics from art all the way to economics, from a Marxist perspective.
We are involved in organising and educating both in and out of the University. For example, this year during the UCU strikes we supported our lecturers on the picket lines and helped to organise the occupation of the University’s administrative hub, Senate House, calling for UCU’s demands to be met. We have also been involved in NEU and other union strikes, as well as the Black Lives Matter and climate movements.
