About

The object of the Society is to provide an independent, international platform for constructive discussions on the Global South. This can be achieved through an annual forum, serving as its flagship event, as well as through debates, panels, and other events aimed at the university community. For the avoidance of doubt, the term 'Global South' is not strictly geographical, as it does not merely refer to the division of the world by the equator, separating richer countries from their poorer counterparts. Instead, it encompasses developing countries as delimited by the Brandt Line.
