CU Ukrainian Society is one of the most vibrant communities in Cambridge. Our Society is open to non-Ukrainians - we are proud to be a multi-cultural and multi-lingual community! Join us to enrich your life and expand your horizons! We are people from various backgrounds, with different visions, but we all share the same goal - contributing to the welfare of Ukraine and our people, sharing the extraordinary culture of the Ukrainians and building bridges among people and communities around the globe. Activities of our Society vary from lectures on historic and contemporary topics presented by leading scientists, to the workshops on the Ukrainian traditional crafts and dances. We regularly celebrate Ukrainian ethnic and religious holidays. We offer language courses for those who wish to learn the Ukrainian language. We organise groups keen in exploring the wonders of Ukraine. We are open to all ideas - just propose! For the past six years the Society has grown significantly, from a small group of enthusiasts to a strong organisation. The Society is being run by its members. An everyday life is coordinated by a Team of Society members. Our Constitution, a cause of a temporary schism in the Society's past, is nowadays probably one of the most democratic in the world. We are proud of our past, but our future depends on you. Join us and shape the way the Society should be!
