The Synthetic Biology Society merges engineering and biology with hands-on projects and workshops in our lab space spanning molecular biology, hardware construction, and scientific programming.
Our Society offers opportunities to experience the emerging field of synthetic biology, which applies engineering perspectives to biology. We have space in a scientific laboratory where we host workshops to teach members about the field and give practical skills, hold speaker and social events to bring together members from diverse backgrounds, and run a long-term project where you can be involved in innovative research either in the lab, by coding, or working on building hardware.
