Treasury select committee: Inquiry into student loans & the taxation of graduates

Recently, your Sabbatical Officer team supplied evidence to the Treasury Select Committee: Inquiry into Student Loans and the Taxation of Graduates on behalf of Cambridge SU.

What is the Treasury Select Committee?
The Treasury Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customs, and associated public bodies, including the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority.

Your Sabbatical Officers supplied evidence for 3 of the following headings:

  • Interest Rates
  • Terms of loans and the Government's ability to change them
  • Fiscal policy

Although the committee is no longer accepting evidence, we thought it would be beneficial for students to be aware of what is happening and the evidence Cambridge SU supplied. You can read the full document here. If you have any questions, please contact us via enquiries@cambridgesu.co.uk
