PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

-Person Specification-

The role’s purpose is to support the development of the Cambridge SU website; the role holder will be expected to help with creating and editing templates for the website. Web design is therefore a key element of the role. 

This role will work closely with, and be supported by, both the Head of Membership Engagement and Communications & Design Coordinator. We’re looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual who wants to be a part of a busy team.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of HTML and CSS, and a flair for visual design.

An understanding and knowledge of the student experience and Students’ Unions is desirable. 

Overview of work schedule:

  • Creating and updating website templates 
  • Support with the development of the SU website and microsites
  • Assist in designing website's visual imagery where necessary and ensure it's in line with Cambridge SU’s branding
  • Collaborating with volunteers and members of staff across the organisation; attending meetings as necessary
  • Additional work; additional work may be required as necessary

This role would suit a current student or someone looking for flexible work to fit around other work commitments. We are happy to hire someone who is looking to find an experience to grow their confidence and further develop their skills.

Job Type: Part-time, 14 hours a week
