Overview

Join us for a panel and Q&A exploring social mobility in academic spaces at Cambridge and beyond with Cambridge academics . Class Act’s goal is to strengthen the voice of students from underrepresented backgrounds at Cambridge, including first generation and working-class students, carers, and those who have been/are estranged, experienced homelessness, or are care-experienced. In this discussion, Class Act Society will be in conversation with academics from across faculties who share similar experiences. Together, we will discuss challenges and opportunities in navigating academic spaces and careers and reflect on how experiences and issues related to social mobility are visible across the University today. Following the panel there will be a Q&A session and the chance to continue conversation over free pizza and drinks afterwards in the Iris Cafe.
Everyone is warmly invited, whether identifying with any Class Act related background or simply wishing to show support.
Any queries are welcome to be send to Clara Busch (cb2317) and Alice Lawrence (al988).
