Forays are back for 2026!
Our first foray is Paradise Local Nature Reserve, which is only a 20min walk from the centre of Cambridge.
When: 18th October, 1:30pm-3:30pm
Where to meet: Entrance to Paradise Local Nature Reserve (meet at Lammas Land Car Park)
This foray will be a relaxed 2 hour walk around the reserve, where we try find as many mushrooms as possible. Never been on a foray before? No worries! We welcome everyone regardless of fungal knowledge - come along and have a go at using our field guides to ID what you find!
This is a great foray to attend if you're new to MycoSoc: it's in a local area, and only 2 hours long (feel free to leave early/stay longer if you wish!)
If you own any mushroom field guides, feel free to bring them along! We will also provide ID guides to use on any fungi we locate. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as it can get quite muddy, as well as warm clothing.
