Our second foray is Wandlebury Country Park, which is only a 25min bus ride from Cambridge.
When: 26th October, approx 1pm-3pm (exact bus times etc will be shared upon ticket purchase)
Where to meet: near the carpark at Wandlebury Country Park
Cost: £3 for non-members, free for members (you still need to register for a free ticket). Bus ticket is not included in the ticket price
This foray will be a relaxed 2 hour walk around the Iron Age site, where we try find as many fungi as possible. Never been on a foray before? No worries! We welcome everyone regardless of fungal knowledge - come along and have a go at using our field guides to ID what you find!
This location is popular every year as we tend to find lots of interesting mushrooms as we walk around!
If you own any mushroom field guides, feel free to bring them along! We will also provide ID guides to use on any fungi we locate. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as it can get quite muddy, as well as warm clothing.
