FASHION TOP TIPS in the Lower Gallery

Visit this stand in the lower gallery for simple things you can do to refresh your clothes, make them last longer, and things to look out for if you do buy something new.

FASHION AND THE PLANET

Are you aware of the impact the fashion industry has on the environment? Displays throughout the Museum explore the way our clothes contribute to climate change, water pollution and more. Can you pledge to choose more sustainable clothing in the future?

KEEPING WARM in the Lower Gallery

How can your clothes help the planet? Pledge to put on a jumper, wear a hat indoors or add an extra pair of socks instead of turning up the heating this winter. We will also be looking at different knitting techniques.

PLEDGE STATION in the Upper Gallery

Now you have seen the impact of the fashion industry on the planet, and learnt ways to extend the life of your clothes and dress more responsibly, can you make a pledge to help save the world through your clothing choices? Make a pledge and take away a reminder to fit in your wallet and a starter kit to fix your own clothes when you get home.
