Hi, I'm Aakash. I am a second-year economist, and I’m excited to run for the position of JCR Treasurer. I believe in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community at Fitz, and I am eager to contribute my skills and dedication to the betterment of our college life.

My Top Priorities:

1. Support for Societies:
   •  As Treasurer, I will actively collaborate with student societies, clubs, and individual initiatives to ensure they have the financial support needed to thrive. Whether it's organizing events, community projects, or academic pursuits, I will work with you to make sure that funding is available for the initiatives that enhance the vibrant culture of our college.
2. Games and Recreation:
   • I will explore opportunities to enhance our common spaces with additions like games for PlayStation and Wii, promoting an enjoyable atmosphere for all.
3. Enhancing Welfare Initiatives:
   • I will work diligently to allocate funds to welfare roles, ensuring that general and specific (BME, LGBTQ, etc.) welfare events receive the support they need. This includes planning events to bring our diverse communities together and providing essential resources during exam seasons.
4. Environmental Sustainability:
   • I am passionate about integrating sustainability into our financial practices. I will explore opportunities to invest in environmentally responsible initiatives and work towards making our JCR finances more eco-friendly. From the student garden patch to supporting green initiatives on campus, I believe our financial decisions should align with our commitment to a sustainable future.
