Academic Rep Elections & SU Referendum

This term, we are running two important democratic processes: the Academic Rep Elections and an SU Referendum.

Make sure you log in using your raven log in before trying to vote.

Cambridge SU Michaelmas Referendum 2025

Have your say on whether Cambridge SU should disaffiliate from the National Union of Students (NUS UK), and whether Cambridge SU should adopt policy on campaigning for the University to end financial and research ties with organisations and institutions involved in the arms trade and occupation.

NUS Affiliation

Should Cambridge SU disaffiliate from the National Union of Students UK (NUS UK)?

Divestment Policy Motion

Should Cambridge SU campaign to end university investments and collaborations with institutions involved in occupation and weapons manufacture as detailed in this policy motion?

Cambridge SU Academic Rep Elections 2025

Across these elections students get to run for and decide who their Academic Reps will be! The Academic Rep Elections give you the opportunity to decide who will represent you on academic issues to the University. There are two types of Academic Rep: subject level and school level. These are voluntary roles.

104 posts are up for election.

Nominations are now closed.

The polls are open and will close at 17:00 on Thursday 30 October 2025 (in 45 hours)

SU Referendum

Alongside the elections, students will also be asked to vote in an SU Referendum. A referendum gives all members the chance to have a direct say on key issues that affect the Union and its work. Every student will get the chance to cast their vote and be part of a Yes or No Campaign. The SU Referendum will ask students to vote on the following questions:

  • Should Cambridge SU disaffiliate from the National Union of Students UK (NUS UK)?

  • Should Cambridge SU campaign to end university investments and collaborations with institutions involved in occupation and weapons manufacture as detailed in this policy motion?
