Covers issues related to your academic experience: Fitness to Study/Practice procedures; Changing College; Intermission; Academic Misconduct; Reasonable Adjustments; Complaints and Discipline; Review of Decisions procedures; and Study Skills

  • Capability to Study/Practice A Capability or Fitness to Study Procedure may be initiated if there are concerns that a student is unable to fully engage in their studies academically or otherwise. The SAS can advise on options if this happens.
  • Changing College Under very exceptional circumstances, a student can apply to change colleges.
  • Intermission Intermission allows students to take time out of their studies. This page provides information on the application process and implications of intermission.
  • Key Academic Resources List of University rules and regulations, key documents, policies and procedures.
  • Plagiarism & Academic Misconduct Information on the investigation and appeal processes for academic misconduct.
  • Reasonable Adjustments A Student Support Documents (SSD) provided by the ADRC can suggest reasonable adjustments to delivery of teaching and academic support. Examination Access Arrangements can modify existing exams; Adjusted Modes of Assessment are available when EAAs are inadequate.
  • Reviews of Decisions The official University process if you are dissatisfied with a decision made by certain University bodies (EAMC, Postgraduate Committee, progression to Part III etc.)
  • Student Complaints & Discipline Students can raise complaints against the university, their department, faculty, staff members or their college; Disciplinary action may also be levelled against students
  • Study Skills CamGuides has information on referencing, writing, finding resources, critical reading and more.
