POSTGRADUATE MENTAL HEALTH REPORT

Sofia Ropek-Hewson, Graduate Union President 2018-19

"Times Higher Education recently reported a ‘mental health crisis among postgraduates’, and referenced a study in which over half of postgraduates surveyed experienced symptoms of psychological distress. Over forty percent of students surveyed felt under constant strain, and other common symptoms included depression, unhappiness and sleeping problems. This is not acceptable.

The Graduate Union cares deeply about this issue, and we’ve put together a survey to collect data on postgraduate mental health at Cambridge University. We are committed to investigating the situation at Cambridge and preparing a meaningful action-plan to tackle this crisis. We can’t do this without you. Please fill in and share our survey and help us campaign for change."
