The AJS (Anglo-Japanese Society) provides a friendly interface between Japanese and non-Japanese in Cambridge: socially at the Freshers' Squash, formals, pub meeting events, but also by organising Japanese cultural events during the term. These include sushi parties, sake tasting events, film nights, language lessons and karaoke! We have an annual New Year's Party (involving Japanese food and umeshu!) and an end-of-term event in the summer. It is a society that allows members to experience and learn more about Japanese culture! We welcome all who are interested in finding out more about Japanese culture! The membership of the Society is open to all members of the University of Cambridge, and we often hold events open to non-members. Of course, you don't need to know any Japanese to join in, either! Please follow our official Facebook page for most recent updates and news!
