About

A non-profit organization founded in 1994 dedicated to the support of Malaysian undergraduates and post-graduates at the University of Cambridge.

A non-profit organization founded in 1994 dedicated to the support of Malaysian undergraduates and post-graduates at the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge University Malaysia Society (CUMaS) provides a social platform for members to interact and participate in various activities and events tailored for the welfare of its members and to promote Malaysian culture. It also serves as a platform to unite Malaysians who are scattered over the many colleges of the university. CUMaS provides a place where members are free to express themselves in a familiar setting whilst in a foreign country.

Our annual flagship events include a Fresher’s Banquet in Malaysia for would-be freshers to get acquainted with existing members; a Malaysian Food Feast mid-term for when we miss our extraordinary matchless Malaysian cuisine while overseas; a Malaysian Cultural Night to show-off our rich culture while drawing members closer together; and a summer Garden Party to celebrate those who have successfully finished their time at Cambridge and also just to bring out that post-exam festive cheer. But this is only the tip of the iceberg to a whole host of other events - we have and numerous formal dinners, cookouts, sports and just plain having fun and hanging out together!
