CUGhS focuses on the socio-cultural well-being of Ghanaian students studying in Cambridge, and all who seek to learn, understand, and participate in Ghanaian culture or cultural activities.

Cambridge University Ghanaian Society (CUGS) focuses on the socio-cultural well-being of Ghanaian students studying in Cambridge and all who seek to learn, understand, and participate in Ghanaian culture or cultural activities. It aims to do this by mobilising all Ghanaians studying at the University of Cambridge, co-ordinating their socio-cultural and intellectual activities, and creating a forum for members to interact and share experiences and all other interested parties.

Membership is open to all Cambridge University members, regardless of ethnic origin or nationality. All who share an interest in Ghanaian culture, as well as those of West African and Ghanaian heritage and origin, are welcome to join.

CUGhS EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 25/26

The Cambridge University Ghanaian Society (CUGS) is holding elections to select a new executive team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This election provides members with the opportunity to choose dedicated leaders to continue promoting Ghanaian culture, community engagement, and student welfare at Cambridge. All positions are open for nomination, and only current members of the society are eligible to vote and contest. We encourage all members to participate actively in shaping the next chapter of our society.
