The Cambridge University Environmental Consulting Society (CUECS) is a student voluntary organisation with a membership of over 700 undergraduates and graduates. Managed by a committee of around 10 individuals, our goal is to have a positive impact upon environmental problems by helping organisations and individuals within Cambridge to alter their practices in cost efficient and environmentally responsible ways. Our projects include a college May Ball sustainability project, Sustain-a-Ball, and our Thermal Imaging Project. Sustain-a-ball was established to address the large amount of waste generated by the well known Cambridge May Balls. CUECS consultants are now sought out ahead of time by ball committees for their advice and expertise on sustainable waste disposal. The Thermal Imaging Team provides consulting services to university colleges and departments by conducting thermal surveys followed by data analysis and recommendation.
