CUES (Cambridge University Engineering Society) was founded in 1901 and is today the largest academic society in Cambridge with over 2000 members, most of whom are undergraduate Engineers although the number of postgraduate members is steadily increasing. Membership of CUES is not restricted to members of the Engineering department and anyone with an interest in engineering issues is welcomed. Our aim is to make life in Cambridge as an Engineer more enjoyable by organising a wide range of events, ranging from presentations and visits to skills and social events.

CUES Executives Election 2026

We’re now electing the next CUES committee! If you’re interested in shaping the direction of the society and getting involved in organising events, partnerships, and activities, we encourage you to run for a role. To apply, please submit a short manifesto outlining your vision, ideas, and why you’re a good fit for the role. Available Roles: President – Leads the society, sets the overall vision for CUES, and oversees the committee and major initiatives. Vice President – Supports the President and helps coordinate the society’s activities, events, and internal organisation. Treasurer – Manages CUES finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring financial sustainability. Sponsorship Executive – Builds relationships with external partners and secures sponsorships to support society events and initiatives. Important: Please ensure your manifesto is also sent directly to the president@cues.org.uk Deadline for applications: 12 March at 6:30 PM. We encourage anyone interested to apply and help shape the future of CUES.
