CU Bollywood Dance Troupe was established in 2018 in an effort to combat the lack of non-Western art forms available in Cambridge. Since this, we have performed for occasions such as Mastana, the annual South Asian charity show, International Women's Day at Murray Edwards College and several college balls. Our plans for the future are to continue to expand the number of events we perform at, offer more open classes as well as incorporate different dance styles ranging from bhangra and hip hop to modern bollywood and classical. We value expertise in the dance styles mentioned, especially for any budding choreographers! However, there is no need to have any dance experience and plenty of troupe were initially in the same position, so don't worry about not having danced before! Your passion is what matters most :)

The troupe is a wonderful community and we truly become a family through the year, so if you're interested, we really do hope to see you at auditions or the open classes!

If you have any questions, drop Arushi Kabiraj or Soumya Agrawal an email at ak2451@cam.ac.uk / sa2125@cam.ac.uk or feel free to DM the instagram. Otherwise, we'll see you at Freshers' Fair this 8th and 9th October 2024!
