CU Bollywood Dance Troupe was established in 2018 in an effort to combat the lack of non-Western art forms available in Cambridge. Since this, we have performed for occasions such as Mastana, CUHCS's annual Asian cultural show, and International Women's Day at Murray Edwards College. We also run a series of open classes in Easter term for a weekly stress-busting workout, which we hope to do again next year. Our plans for the future are to continue to expand the number of events we perform at such as the various Society / May Balls as well as incorporate different dance styles ranging from bhangra and hip hop to modern bollywood and classical. About half of our current troupe has little or no dance experience, so don't worry about not having danced before! However, we do also value expertise in the dance styles mentioned, especially for any budding choreographers. We hope to see you at auditions or the open classes! If you have any questions, drop Siddhi Barhanpurkar, Simmi Sangha or Jai Shende, an email at sb2462@cam.ac.uk / sks62@cam.ac.uk / jps90@cam.ac.uk /
