ASCU is a student organization with a mission to be a focal point for people who share an interest in and commitment to Africa. Our platform is one for networking and discourse on issues of Pan-African importance. We are open to anyone interested in learning more about Africa, no matter their discipline, nationality, or student status.
In line with Article 6.1 of the ASCU Constitution, nominations are now open for the roles of President and General Secretary for the 2026/27 academic year. Nominations will be accepted from 2 July to 12 August 2026. Candidates will be announced on 9 August, followed by a campaign period running from 12 to 15 August. Voting will take place on 16 August 2026, with polls open from 06:00 to 19:00 via the SU election portal. We encourage all eligible members to take part in shaping ASCU’s next chapter, either by running for a position or casting their vote.
