The general purpose of the society is to bring together social scientists across the colleges, disciplines and academic stages, for the purpose of social and academic engagement. Members will meet on a semi-regular informal basis, depending on their own interests. A range of social and academic events will be held by the Society, the latter focusing on encouraging members to share their research and academic interests, encouraging interdisciplinary exchange. Currently, the society doesn’t have any external partners but is interested in collaborations to host speaker’s events in the future. The events held by the Society will help to enable a collaborative, inclusive space for meaningful exchange of research and academic interests, as well as a social space to encourage social scientists to take rest
