Our society is a single-sex society for women that provides a space for civil discussion and debate, with a strong commitment to free speech. We host events (for a combination of womenonly and mixed-sex audiences) such as speaker events, panel discussions, formal debates, a book group and social occasions. All of these champion women’s sex-based rights, promote our sex-based causes and platform women from a broad array of countries and backgrounds working within a wide variety of spheres. Members themselves bring their ideas for speakers and events, and we all work collaboratively to create a society by and for women. CUSW aims to bring together any and all women currently studying at the university of Cambridge and encourage the exercising of our right to free speech and single-sex association. Membership is free.
