Muay Thai is a combat sport similar to kickboxing. Training involves hitting pads, drilling with a partner and light sparring, as well as cardio work. Muay thai is known as the Art of Eight Limbs and refers to the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. It is a full-contact combat sport that uses stand-up striking, sweeks, kicks, and various clinching techniques. The martial arts has its roots in thai mulitary use dating back to around the 13th century. Today, Muay Thai is practiced and competed all around the world.
