About

.22 indoor target rifle shooting. All equipment is provided, full coaching for both novices and more experienced shots, plus a good social scene. Be sure to check out our sister club, CURA!

Cambridge University Small Bore Club (CUSBC) is one of the oldest sporting clubs at the University of Cambridge. As the University's .22 calibre target-shooting rifle club, we operate throughout Michaelmas and Lent Terms, welcoming everyone from complete beginners to experienced shooters in a friendly and supportive environment.

Members train regularly and compete in postal leagues and shoulder-to-shoulder matches, with the season culminating in the annual Varsity Matches and the BUCS Finals. CUSBC has a proud record of competitive success, most recently setting the all-time BUCS postal team record in 2026, alongside an active social calendar including our Christmas dinner and swaps with other Sports Societies.

No previous experience is required, with coaching and equipment provided for everyone. CUSBC is open to all University of Cambridge students and works closely with our sister club, CURA, offering opportunities to explore full bore rifle shooting.
