What is the Advice Service?

The Cambridge SU Advice Service is a free service that offers confidential and impartial advice and support to all Cambridge University students. Regardless of your course, College or degree level, you can come to the advice service with any issues or problems you may be facing. 

Whether this be welfare concerns, making friends, making relationships, exam intermission or finance, the Advice Service is here to support you. 

 

How can the Advice Service support you?

The service is here to help you navigate your way through university life, and can support you by:

  • Explaining and guiding you through University and College procedures

  • Helping you to explore your options

  • Providing assistance and/or representation

  • Signposting to other services

  • Listening

  • Providing information

We can provide this support in-person, by email, phone and video call.

 

What other information do I need to know?

  • Responses can take between 2-3 working days

  • Providing feedback on small/medium document can take 5 working days

  • Providing feedback on large document can take up to 10 working days
