Postgraduate students in the School of Biological Sciences are warmly invited to take part in the upcoming SBS Research Café, organised in collaboration with the Biological Sciences Libraries Team.
The Research Café offers PG students an informal opportunity to showcase their research, develop presentation and communication skills, and engage with peers across the School. Participating also increases the visibility of your work and provides constructive feedback to help refine your research and explore new perspectives.
PG students and researchers are invited to submit a short abstract on their research. Topics include open science, sustainability, health and disease, science communication, education, and translating research into practice. Presentations can be a 6-minute lightning talk, an A1 poster, or both.
Whether you are presenting or just attending, please register by 5 February 2026 to secure your place: Register here.
Free lunch (Pizza) will be provided for all attendees. There will also be a £50 voucher prize awarded for the best lightning talk and best poster on the day.
🗓 Abstract deadline: Midday, 16 January 2026 (extended)
