Overview

Ball Policy, PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE

1. The ticket link will bring you to the Cambridge SU events page. You will need to have logged in via Raven to see the event/ticket purchasing option

2. You can purchase up to 3 tickets using your Raven account. After selecting how many tickets you wish to purchase you will need to click the shopping cart icon on top right of the page to check out.

3. Non-University of Cambridge students will need a Uni of Cam student to purchase the tickets on their behalf. When at the gate, they need to be accompanied by the person whose name the tickets are under to enter.

4. For refunds, due to the tight budget of the process. We will only allow free of charge name changes. Which can be done up until the day of the event. Name change has to be done through emailing the Rainbow Ball committee (rainbowballcommittee@gmail.com), quoting the name( CRSID + their name) of the original purchaser and the person's name+ CRSID who they wish to transfer to.

5. To enter the Ball on the day. Preliminary policy is that students whom purchased the tickets will come with their Cam card for the purpose of identity verification. Please do remember to bring a valid photo ID( passport/ driving license) for the venue since alcohol will be served.

6. For those who gained tickets through name change. They will just need to bring their Cam card or valid photo ID that can be used to verify their identity.

7. Rainbow Ball holds strict rules against over selling tickets for profit. If you found anyone intentionally oversell the tickets for other than the price it was originally sold by the Ball Committee. The individual's ticket will be cancelled, and their tickets will be rewarded to the person who reported this. The punishment mechanism will be decided at the discretion of the committee.

8. The Rainbow Ball holds strict zero tolerance policy against any form of discrimination based on any of the protected characteristics. Any guests violated the rule will have their tickets withdrawl and be asked to leave the ball.

Access Statement

We on the Committee want Rainbow Ball to be as accessible as possible and have made accessibility a priority throughout the planning process. As such, we’ve ensured that the ball’s venue, The University Arms Hotel, has step-free access available. For those who may experience sensory issues throughout the evening, you are more than welcome to step out into the lobby which will be quieter and therefore less stimulating.

There is no official dress code for the event but we do encourage you to tailor your outfit to our theme, The Roaring Twenties! There are no limits to your interpretation and creativity so we look forward to seeing what you come up with.

A range of food and drink will be on offer to suit the largest range of dietary restrictions possible including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.

Please message us on either of our social media profiles, or through our email (rainbowballcommittee@gmail.com) with any further questions you may have.
