Newnham Arts Society invites you to an evening of exciting and informal discussion about the dimensions of gender in AI art!
We’ll kick off by highlighting the pioneering contributions of Ada Lovelace, celebrating her brilliant career and her vital role in the history of computing. From there, we’ll dive into the fascinating and polarising spaces of creative AI.
We’re particularly interested in maintaining a feminist perspective on these topics, and hope to touch on the stereotypical representations of intelligent machines, on biases embedded in AI systems, and the current art scene for female digital artists.
We recognise that AI art is a divisive topic; this event is emphatically a safe space to share and learn from each other’s experiences and perspectives. No specialist knowledge required!
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these intriguing intersections between art, technology, and gender!
