Cambridge University Tiddlywinks Club meet every Wednesday of term at 7:30pm in the Fisher building Foyer, in St John's College, Cambridge, to play tiddlywinks.
This week, we are playing the Sarah Knight Memorial Doodah, which is a singles tournament, and was originally instigated to celebrate or commiserate the turning-27 of a former president (so is a memorial to lost youth, rather than a memorial to something more commonly memorialised).
It is played whenever a current member of CUTwC turns 27, and due to recent events there have been several members reaching this (un)remarkable milestone since the last one, so is rather overdue.
If you've played winks with us before, there are some unusual rules involving the rolling of dice for this one, which will be explained in this evening's email and on the day; if you haven't, come along and I'm sure we'll be able to teach you the normal rules of our (surprisingly tactical) version of tiddlywinks, plus the weird additions for this one. There's more of a random element involved, so beginners' luck is particularly potent!
