Why me

• I am adaptable and have good leadership skills so I will be ready and willing to step up when the Presidents needs support.
• I am organised and proactive which means I will be good at anticipating what help the Presidents need.
• I am sociable so I will be a good, approachable point of contact for the student body.
• I am collaborative so I will work well with the other JCR members.

Experience

• Secretary of the African and Caribbean Society
  • I act as support for the President and Vice President, taking on certain tasks when asked to.
• Creator and leader of the Inclusion Collective at my Sixth Form
  • I had to organise and run the meetings as well as other diversity and inclusion initiatives within my Sixth Form.
• History Ambassador at my Sixth Form

  • I ran a student history club to encourage the younger students to engage more enthusiastically with history.

My ideas

• Creating new, and strengthening existing, forums for open discussion to empower students to actively shape JCR decisions and support the Presidents in understanding the needs of the student body.
• Providing our Presidents with proactive, reliable and consistent support, to strengthen their leadership and maximise efficiency through techniques such as a shared calender to keep track of important deadlines and events.
• Working closely with all parts of the JCR to strategically coordinate our efforts, solve problems together, and keep the JCR running smoothly.
