Welfare Support
College and University support services, including the University Counselling Service and Harassment and Violence Support Service, continue to be open to all students, regardless of gender identity.
The University offers a free counselling service, provided by Student Support. There are options for individual counselling, group/workshops, and specialist support LGBTQ+ students
At the SU, we offer free, confidential, and impartial advice and support to all Cambridge University students - undergraduate and postgraduate - from any College or course. You can come to the Student Advice Service with any issues or problems you might experience as a student, from making friends to working relationships, from exams to intermission, and from welfare concerns to finance.
Community
There are also community related forms of support such as societies and student groups.
A society for students that aims to promote and project the welfare of all its members, including to campaign to counter all forms of LGBT+phobia.

An inclusive LGBTQ+ student group celebrating queer history and culture by hosting events like bar nights, babarets and socials to build community and provide support for all queer identities in Cambridge.
Specifically for Queer People of Colour in Cambridge, a space that hosts events and provides support for all its members.
Local Support
There are also forms of local support offered across Cambridge that can be accessed by students.
A local charity that describes its purpose as supporting the wellbeing and creativity of LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding areas through information, support and groups. We build inclusive communities to tackle inequalities through consultancy, training and education to all sectors.
Diamonds is a social self-help group, based in Cambridge (UK), for transgendered people, transsexuals, transvestites, crossdressers, their friends and partners. The group is open to anyone with an interest in transgender issues, and who is resident in or visiting Cambridgeshire, or willing to travel from further afield in East Anglia.

As well as local, there is also forms of support offered to everyone across the UK.
