The Cambridge University Mountaineering Club is one of the oldest climbing clubs in Britain. Founded in 1905, it exists to help climbers of the University make contact with one another and go climbing and mountaineering. As a club we cater for members with a broad variety of climbing tastes. The current spectrum of climbing in the club includes indoor climbing, scrambling, bouldering, rock climbing, ice climbing and mountain climbing. Similarly, the commitment levels within the club range from the once a term participants through to the ultra-keen obsessives. The club organises trips to outdoor locations at the weekend and outings to climbing walls during the week, details of which can be found on the website.
