About

The Footlights Dramatic club offers a unique opportunity for Cambridge and ARU students with an interest in comedy.

The Footlights Dramatic club offers a unique opportunity for Cambridge and ARU students with an interest in comedy. Our regular late-night 'Smokers' give writers and performers a chance to try out sketches, monologues, songs and stand-up in front of a sell-out crowd. The club also has open auditions - for both writers, performers and directors - for a number of its annual shows, including the CUADC X FOOTLIGHTS Pantomime in Michaelmas Term, the Footlights Presents late show in Lent, and the flagship Tour Show in Easter. Writing/performing students can apply for membership in their graduating year. With alumni ranging from David Mitchell to Richard Ayoade, Emma Thompson to Phil Wang, Footlights aims to continue its tradition of exciting, imaginative comedy.
