About

The Fitz Sirens are Cambridge's original all women and non-binary a-cappella group, performing songs at a variety of events throughout the year, please sign up for audition information!

The Fitz Sirens are Cambridge's original all women and non-binary a-cappella group, established long before Pitch Perfect thrust a-cappella singing into the spotlight! We are experts at mixing sass, style and singing and enjoy performing old barbershop favourites alongside arrangements of current chart hits. Our gigs range from busking on the streets of Cambridge to performing at formals and private functions, not to mention our annual Christmas music video.

We also sing sets at various May Balls every summer, giving our members a great insight into the May Week festivities at many colleges!

We are based at Fitzwilliam College but have members from a range of colleges, and we're typically made up of 8-10 students from all years. Auditions take place at the beginning of every Michaelmas term, and we are looking for lively, confident and committed singers. Musical qualifications and/or choral experience are not essential!

We rehearse twice a week and also enjoy socials such as formals and nights out outside of rehearsal time. The Sirens are a tight-knit, friendly group and we work together to choose songs and devise dance moves! We also co-operate with the Fitz Barbershop to put on some joint gigs. In the past we have also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as Jilin University, China.
