The Cambridge University Railway Club (CURC) was founded in 1911, and as such is the second oldest railway club in the world. Today our members' interests cover the whole of the railway scene, both in Britain and abroad.

Our events involve an invited speaker (esteemed professionals from or related to the industry) giving an illustrated talk on a specific subject. We are not just about train talk, but also a unique opportunity to network with people at the highest levels of the industry and can be a direct pathway to graduate employers; we have a celebrated history of CURC alumni working at these most senior levels. The club arranges multiple events each term, with a few holding a Member's Formal - a brilliant event where students can dine with CEOs and MDs of huge national companies and gain valuable insight and ask any questions they may have.
