CU Women's Ice Hockey Club

CUWIHC is formed of two ice hockey teams: the mixed Huskies and the Women’s Blues teams. Since the early 1980s, CUWIHC has provided women with the opportunity to earn a half-blue in the annual Varsity match against Oxford. Boasting players from a wide range of backgrounds, from complete beginners to 10+ year veterans, the squad works hard and has a strong performance, notably garnering back to back varsity wins in 2018 and 2019. In addition to on-ice practices, we have weekly strength and conditioning training sessions and welcoming socials. The club fosters a supportive environment to develop as a player and a sense of fun, teamwork and encouragement. The Huskies is a team for people (regardless of gender) who are looking to try hockey for the first time or develop their skills. We are keen to attract new members so whether you're a beginner or veteran, come join us!
