Applications to be a mentor on the 2022 Shadowing Scheme are now open! We are looking for current undergraduates to volunteer as mentors on the UK's largest student-led residential access scheme.

The Shadowing Scheme has been bringing prospective students to Cambridge to experience student life for 22 years, and after moving online for 2021, the scheme will be back this year in person during January and February 2022.

As a Shadowing Scheme mentor you'll be 'shadowed' by a prospective student from a disadvantaged background for three days in January or February 2022. You'll show them around Cambridge, take them to lectures, and help them understand what it's like to be a student here.

Mentors make a huge difference to their shadows. Last year shadows told us that talking to their mentor was one of the most helpful elements of the scheme, and that the opportunity to get to know current students was invaluable.

If you’re enthusiastic about sharing your passion for your subject, want to use your experience applying to and studying at Cambridge to help others, and be part of a team of volunteers who are changing Cambridge for the better, you should apply to be a mentor!

You can find out more and apply here: https://www.cambridgesu.co.uk/yourvoice/projects/shadowingscheme/ Applications close on 24th October. Get in touch with shadowingscheme@cambridgesu.co.uk if you have any questions.
