Job title: Representation & Widening Participation Project Coordinator
Reports to: Democracy & Representation Manager

Responsible for:
- Coordination of Student Academic Representative; inclusive of elections, training and record keeping
- Coordination and development of the SU’s Access and Widening Participation flagship event, the Shadowing Scheme
Contract: Full Time (35 hours per week) 1 Year FTC, with potential to extend based on funding
As the new Representation & Widening Participation Project Coordinator, you’ll have knowledge of project management along with a passion for widening participation work and supporting students to become effective representatives.
- Your representation project will be to develop and maintain the Academic Representative systems. This includes administering elections, supporting and training elected reps to make a difference to the students on their courses, and working with members of the University to implement and improve the system.
- The main event the role will work on, is the annual Shadowing Scheme; the project management of the event includes the delivery of the event from formation, recruitment of participants and volunteers, liaising with each of the participant colleges and delivering the in-person event.
The successful applicant will be an essential member of the Democracy and Representation Team.
