Contract:

Temporary. The Research Assistant will be required to work upto a total of 80 hours. Work schedules are flexible and negotiable.

Job Purpose
The role’s primary purpose is to support the gathering of research by the SU via administration tasks, transcription and supporting analysis of collected data.
Administration tasks
The role will include creating, scheduling Focus Groups and Interviews and attending weekly project meetings.
Transcription
This role will include transcribing focus groups (2) with students at Cambridge University.
Supporting analysis
The role will clean and sort survey data, as well as conducting some preliminary analysis of the survey and focus group data.

Overview of Duties
- To transcribe audio files of focus groups
- To conduct supporting analysis
- To liaise with students to schedule focus groups
- To undertake your own typing, filing, etc.
- To attend research meetings where necessary
- To portray the Students’ Union in a positive, proactive and professional manner
